DESIGN CONSULTANT

Summary
Come and join the 2018 Builder of the Year – Large Volume.  The Design Consultant will work as part of the Laebon team providing collaboration and guidance to the Home Owner during their selection process. This individual will work alongside Home Owners and Laebon suppliers when choosing the selections for their new Laebon home. The Design Consultant will be directly responsible for assisting in the translation of the Home Owner’s vision into a tangible design concept, and communicate internally any changes to the appropriate departments. This individual should be innovative, creative, and a team player who is able to lead by example in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. This position is to cover a maternity leave, however for the right candidate there may be an opportunity for continued employment with Laebon Homes.

Job Duties
•Consult with Home Owners to determine color and style preferences, needs and budgetary consideration.
•Generate creative concepts in response to the Home Owners needs, bringing such concepts to life.
•Attend selection meetings with suppliers and Home Owners to ensure selections reflect their vision and budget.
•Assist the Home Owners in making Laebon in-office selections.
•Submit decorating recommendations, colors, and samples for Home Owners approval.
•Work closely with other departments to ensure design is communicated accurately and incorporates the requirements of the Home Owner.
•Perform ongoing market research and meet with trades and suppliers to stay current with products trends and styles.
•Keep Laebon Selections room current and up to date.
•Identify and offer solutions to complex design challenges as they present themselves.
•Oversee the execution of the developed design concept to ensure final offering stays true to Home Owner’s vision. 
•Provide coverage to Show Homes as necessary.
•Organize setup and staging of Show Homes and Quick Possession homes.
•Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements
•Degree or Diploma in Design or related field considered and asset.
•Previous design consulting experience required. 
•Excellent design and conceptual skills as evidenced in personal portfolio.
•Effective written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
•Passionate, self-motivated individual with the ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
•Innovative and creative thinker.
•Must be able to work on multiple projects simultaneously with the ability to excel in a fast-paced environment.
•Demonstrate excellent time management, deadline management and project management skills.
•Strong interpersonal skills required to communicate with a broad range of individuals including key members of design teams and Home Owners.
•Excel in customer service.
•Computer proficiency and experience using Microsoft Office is required.
•Ability to attend and conduct presentations.
•Manual dexterity required to use desktop computer and peripherals.
•Flexible hours with occasional evening and weekend hours.
•Travel as required within Central Alberta.

COMMUNITY SALES MANAGER - Sylvan Lake, Lacombe, Ponoka

Come and work for the 2018 Large Volume Builder of the Year!  As a Community Sales Manager you will be responsible for all New Home sales in the designated communities of Sylvan Lake, Lacombe and Ponoka. In addition you will work as part of a larger team promoting what Laebon has to offer throughout Central Alberta. 

Responsibilities for this role include: 
• Generating leads and creating traffic in our show homes.
• Marketing and promoting your community as well as supporting those efforts in all of our communities.
• Presenting our show homes/quick possession homes to visitors. 
• Maintaining an extensive knowledge of Laebon’s products e.g. home plans, home sites and current pricing as well as have a working knowledge of the community, its amenities and demographics.
• Reporting on sales activity and utilizing sales software to assist with the sales process. 
• Closing the sale, completing purchase agreements and change orders.
• Meet with homeowners to make interior and exterior selections and finalize plans. 
• Follow-up with homeowners throughout the build process and after possession.

Qualifications considered include: 
• Previous new home sales experience is an asset.  
• Sales experience in the industry is an asset. 
• Knowledge of construction is preferred. 
• Computer proficiency and experience using Microsoft Office is required. 
• Experience utilizing sales software is an asset.
